Carolina is a part of the 1990 program "Type before Gutenberg", which included the work of twelve contemporary font designers and represented styles from across the ages. Gottfried Pott designed his Carolina in the tradition of the Carolingian Minuskel. The rhythmic flow of the font gives text a light and elegant feel.
