Font Designer – William Bulmer

William Bulmer – born 1757 in Newcastler upon Tyne, England, died 1830 – typographer, printer – Trained as a printer in Newcastle upon Tyne, then went to London to work for John Bell.
1792–1802: Bulmer prints the dramatic works of William Shakespeare in nine volumes for the publishers Boydell and Nicol. He then produces three volumes of John Miltonʼs works.
1794–96: Bulmer prints two folio volumes on “The History of the River Thames”.
