Since the OpenType format is relatively new, there are still a number of applications that do not fully support the format as yet QuarkXPress users for example can use OpenType fonts but cannot access the extra characters contained in it. To do this, Linotype offers its "Flirt" solution with the existing PostScript fonts and expanded character sets. Microsoft applications can also work with OpenType fonts, but the foreign language functions of the Pro fonts with Eastern European characters cannot be used. For this too the "Flirt" solution has the traditional PC TrueType fonts that have become standard in offices everywhere. Linotype OpenType Flirt offers the ideal solution for all areas of advertising and communication. In addition to the OpenType fonts Linotype supplies with OpenType Flirt the equivalent legacy versions in Mac PS, PC PS and PC TT formats for usage with non OpenTypecompliant applications. This product is licensed for the usage on up to 10 workstations
