Generis: Value Packs and a Bonus Font

Like the very popular Compatil®, Linotype’s Generis Type System is a matrix of four typeface families. Generis Serif, Generis Sans, Generis Simple, and Generis Slab’s weights are quadraplexed across each type stye. This means that you can change any amount of text set in one style of Generis to another without affecting line wrap. Highlight a few words from a text set in Generis Serif with Generis Simple, for example, and the position of each character will remain in exactly the same location! These relations are particularly advantageous in business typesetting, especially for financial listings and annual report design.

The Generis Type System has 28 fonts total to its credit. You can get them all in the Generis Complete Family Value Pack. Linotype’s Value Packs are a great bargain: when buying all of the the fonts in a family at once, you receive a savings in the actual price over what you would pay by licensing each of the single fonts separately.
