British designer Lee Martin Mc Auley created the font Heliotype™ in 1991. Mc Auley was inspired by Soviet Constructivist designs. 'Helio' means combined and the Heliotype adds serifs to a sans serif typeface to connect the characters to one another. The strong, aggressive geometric appearance of Heliotype make it a great font for experimentation.
