Andrei Zhitkov
Inspired by street signs in Leningrad, an old fortress in Pskov, and, Vladimir Tatlin, one the Russian fathers of Constructivism, Zhitkov’s Cyrillic fonts Nevsky, Pskov and Tatlin truly possess the spirit of Russia. Zhitkov’s first offering, Poster Bodoni Cyrillic, was commissioned by a Russian newspaper in Chicago, and rounds out this quartet nicely.
