Font Designer – Joachim Müller-Lancé

Joachim Müller-Lancé was born in St. Wendel, Germany, on May 25th, 1961. He graduated from the Basel School of Design in Switzerland. He studied art at The Cooper Union in New York, United States. He worked as a senior designer at the Access Press/The Understanding Business New York/San Francisco. Joachim Müller-Lancé designed numerous cultural exhibitions and publications for the 1992 Olympic Games in his own studio in Barcelona. He also taught Information Design for three years at Barclas Global Investors in San Francisco. Since 1997, he has directed the Kame Design Studio in San Francisco. He and Mike Kohnke co-founded the online type foundry TypeBox, LLC in 2000.
