About Novia font family

The English copperplate script came back into its own with the advent of photocomposition, then digital techniques. Gone are limitations on kerning and joining strokes imposed by the typefounders’ mold. In Novia Cyrus Highsmith has made the most of this freedom, returning to the delicate life of original manuscript forms. A rich set of alternative characters are automatically reached through OpenType support. Novia and Novia Light make up a delicate series with a vibrant life. Like all formal scripts, it is intended for use at display sizes. The Light is most effective at two hundred point and up. Novia was commissioned to grace the pages of Martha Stewart Weddings.
