Dynamic Fonts New and Old

! Welcome to the Current Issue of the LinoLetter ! Subscribe Unsubscribe

Introduction:

New release! Aptifer™, a robust and contemporary typeface family offering 28 sans and slab serif styles, is the first item of business this month, but we have a number of other dynamic typefaces and type resources to bring to the attention of LinoLetter readers. Our newest font savings, the Computer Style Value Pack, brings together five first-class tech fonts for one unbeatable price. Two other fonts round out September’s news items, Conga Brava™ and ITC Portago™. Conga Brava™ is a well-sized, jazzy slab serif family radiating with sound and motion that is fitted with several unconventional stencil variants. In this regard, Conga Brava™ shares common ground with ITC Portago™, which is a rough, condensed stencil font. Finally, Linotype.com is pleased to announce that it can now accept even more payment options from customers.

Have fonts of fun!
Aptifer Font
Aptifer™ is the newest typeface family from Linotype. Mårten Thavenius drew upon the rich heritages of two design traditions while creating Aptifer™. His new families are imbued with the spirit of the robust American gothic typefaces, like those from Morris Fuller Benton, as well as the openness and legibility that comes from the humanist tradition, like the typefaces from Adrian Frutiger. Comprised of 28 fonts across two strong styles – sans serif and slab serif – each member of the Aptifer™ family contains all of the typographic OpenType features that our customers have come to expect as well as language support for over 48 languages, including those used in Central and Eastern Europe.
Computer Style Value Pack
From low-tech to hi-tech – The new Computer Style Value Pack Searching for a convincing selection of various computer-style designs? We think our recently published Computer Style Value Pack has exactly the mix you might be looking for. Five fonts from a broad design palette are on sale through the end of the month for the low, one-time price of USD/EUR 29.50 (just USD/EUR 6 per font)!
Conga Brava Font
Conga Brava™ brings the high-minded, purist letterforms of revivalist, modern calligraphers with the mundane, even crude, lettering of warehouse stenciling. Created by designer Michael Harvey, this type family is named after the jazz classic “Conga Brava” by Duke Ellington and his trombonist Juan Tizol. The rolling rhythm, polished swing, and stacatto brass treatment of the tune suits the look of this sassy roman design and, even more so, its stencil mate.
ITC Portago Fontt
ITC Portago™ was designed by Luis Siquot, who admits to a tendency toward unusual typefaces that can be read in text yet also work well in display settings. ITC Portago™ is a stencil face based on the lettering seen on crates and luggage. Siquot says that his “intention drawing Portago was to obtain a neutral, classical, very condensed grotesque stencil shape that is readable in text sizes, showing at the same time the ‘movement’ produced by the nicked edges.”
