Font Designer – Hal Taylor

Hal Taylor began his career with the setting of headlines in phototypesetting format for large advertising agencies. He went on to work with designer John Langdon for a few years. They provided handwritten services for the graphics industry. He also taught Typography and Design at Drexel University in Philadelphia and Burlington County College in New Jersey. He currently designs and illustrates book covers for Townsend Press and creates fonts. In collaboration with John Langdon, he designed Flexion, which was originally created for the movie The DaVinci Code. The font won the prize as best new font from the Type Directors Club in 2007.
