About Neuzeit® S Book Heavy ...
Designer: Linotype Design Studio, 1966
Neuzeit® S Book Heavy belongs to the Neuzeit® S Font Family which is part of the Linotype Originals.
Linotype first released Neuzeit S in 1966. Neuzeit S is a redesign of D. Stempel AG's DIN Neuzeit Grotesk, which was designed by Wilhelm Pischner between 1928 and 1939. Neuzeit S was originally intended for use in large bodies of text; the "S" stands for Siemens, who used the typeface at that time as part of their corporate design. Combining the regularity of form with legibility and practicality, Neuzeit S provides a strong design solution for text and headlines. See also DIN Neuzeit Grotesk for similar fonts that work well in display sizes and signage applications.
