 | Bodebeck is a new typeface family, design according to old traditions. Transitional-Style typefaces tend to be light and multiple axes, and they have been the rage in England since the 1700s. These types form a bridge between old-style and modern typography.
The Swedish designer and typographer Anders Bodebeck developed the Bodebeck family in 2002. Because of its slightly abstract qualities, such as parts of individual letters that thin out and disappear, Bodebeck is primarily intended for use as a titling, or display face. Fitted with Oldstyle figures, the Bodebeck family is available in the following styles: Regular, Italic, Bold, Bold Italic, and Extra Bold. |

 | A New Magazine for Type Trends – The Linotype Matrix is Back The Linotype Matrix was a quarterly newssheet produced in England by Linotype & Machinery Ltd. from the 1930s through the 1960s. The publication carried information about Linotype products and the printing trade, as well as articles on type design and typography. As such, it was a platform where new typefaces were portrayed, and the journal often thoroughly reported the success stories of Linotype originals.
Almost 50 years after its last issue, the Linotype Matrix has returned! This time, it is published in magazine format. Rich in content and graphics, the new look takes into consideration the reading habits and design trends of today. But the purpose is still the same: to showcase the hidden gems of Linotype’s collection, and to provide a vehicle for design discourse and typographic expression.
This month only, save 30% off the issue’s cover price! Purchase Linotype Matrix Vol. 4 Issue 1 for only USD/EUR 8.50 (excl. VAT) |
