Exclusive photo collections on CD-ROM for unlimited use

Bad Homburg, 1st March, 1999:

A totally new, ultramodern product is now available from Linotype GmbH, Bad Homburg, for all customers wishing to use high quality images alongside quality typefaces in their layout work and print production. PhotoAlto - conceived four years ago by photographers and graphic designers - has brought together exclusive photo collections which are available unencypted on CD-ROM for unlimited use at both high and screen resolution.

A total of 35 CD-ROMs, each containing 120 images, are currently available, covering a very wide range of themes. Typography, topography/cityscapes (Paris), nature and the countryside, image backgrounds, people, cosmetics, health, animals, industry and transport - as well as motifs from the food and hospitality sector - are just a few of the areas covered. The images come from the collections of internationally renowned top photographers such as Isabelle Rozenbaum, Paul Borrier, François Bussy and many others.

In addition to a free color catalog which documents the whole content of the CD collections, PhotoAlto can also offer an exclusive search tool. PhotoFinder, available on a separate CD-ROM, allows targeted queries using search terms for images across all the CD-ROMs - the results being shown immediately in a well-structured overview. Furthermore, the CD-ROM contains all the 4100+ available images in low resolution, which can be used for layouting and are digitally watermarked.

Interested parties can order the free catalog from PhotoAlto and the PhotoFinder CD-ROM immediately, both of which provide an overview of all the available image collections and motifs.
