Fonts of Peter Huschka in the Linotype Library

The German designer Peter Huschka has a soft spot for unique fonts, as can be seen in his Linotype creations: Linotype Chineze, Sinah, and Picture Yourself.

Linotype Chineze™
Peter Huschka created a family of typefaces that resemble the calligraphic strokes found in Chinese characters. Using a variety of brush-like elements, Linotype Chinese imbues the Roman alphabet with an Eastern flair.


Picture Yourself™
Create your own world with the Picture Yourself collection! Picture Yourself is a graphic image collection, which functions a font family instead of hundreds of EPS files. The family is made up of 24 different symbol typefaces. Designed by the collaborative effort of Karin and Peter Huschka, Picture Yourself was a winner in the 2003 International Type Design Contest, sponsored by Linotype GmbH.


Linotype Sinah Sans™
Linotype Sinah Sans is part of the Take Type Library, selected from the contestants of Linotype’s International Type Design Contests of 1994 and 1997. Sinah is a rounded, ornamental font with many strokes ending in teardrop forms. The letters of this wide-running font do not share a common base line. The capital S and the lower case l both drop under it although neither have descenders. Overall, Linotype Sinah has an almost Asian or Indian feel. The font must be used with generous line spacing and is intended exclusively for headlines or shorter texts in point sizes of 12 or larger.
