"I developed Linotype Ordinar for a special website, because I wanted a font with lines that were simple yet modern and which incorporated both design and high-tech qualities.
The name comes from "ordinary" and serves to stress the font’s simplicity (an understatement perhaps).
Linotype Ordinar is well suited as a basis for logotype designs and headlines, but can also be used for whole blocks of text, e.g. when you want to give the text a "design look".
Linotype Ordinar regular and Italic work especially well for web design. Linotype Ordinar double is an excellent font design for decorative variants for single words."
