Font Designer – Alexander Branczyk

Alexander Branczyk was born on March 21, 1959 in Frankfurt, Germany. He studied visual communication at the Offenbach University of Art and Design in Offenbach/Main. He worked for Metadesign in Berlin from 1988 to 1994 and in 1994 co-founded the visual communications company xplicit in Frankfurt/Main. He is a graphic designer, copywriter, font designer and the art director of the magazine FrontPage. Branczyk is also founding member of the mind(21) Factory for Knowledge Design and the font project Face2Face. Furthermore, he is co-editor of Emotional Digital and has been the editor of the FSTOP image library since 2001. Since the winter semester of 2003, he has been a visiting professor of typography at the Bauhaus University in Weimar.
