OpenType VersionAnother Update from Linotype, More Benefits for Customers Small caps, oldstyle figures, and Western, Central, and Eastern European Glyph coverage in every font! Frutiger™ Next’s OpenType version offers this to everyone who uses OpenType-savvy applications, like the Adobe CS package. Furthermore, the OpenType version of Frutiger Next includes a previously unavailable weight: Ultra Light. With seven weights instead of six (i.e., 21 fonts in the family instead of 18), Frutiger Next OpenType is now a more powerful corporate communications tool than ever before. All of the OpenType fonts include Linotype’s Com character set, which supports 48 Latin-based languages from Western, Central, and Eastern Europe – even including the Baltic languages and Turkish. The traditional font format family is only available in six weights. There are two versions of each font available in the PostScript and TrueType formats: Regular (Western) and Central European. Frutiger® Next, along with Avenir® Next, Compatil®, Eurostile® Next, Optima® nova, Palatino® nova, Linotype Univers®, Sabon® Next, and Linotype Syntax®, make up Linotype’s Platinum Collection. These fonts were carefully digitized, and have the high quality demanded by professional typography. All fonts in the Platinum Collection were produced according to the Linotype tradition of quality. Linotype and its authorized partners offer these fonts only as complete typeface families on Platinum Collection CDs. |
