Designer Steve Matteson created the fonts Andalé, Andy™, Blueprint™, Fineprint™, Curlz™ (1995), Kidprint™ and Truesdell™. Early on, Matteson planned a career in printing management, but a college job editing font bitmaps quickly changed his mind. The Truesdell font is based on the lost typeface designed by Frederic W. Goudy in 1931. The base font was digitized from hot metal matrices. Later, additional characters and weights were created to fill out the family.
