The repetition of simple geometric shapes forms a daily part of our environment. Throughout the 20th century – and into the 21st – typefaces whose designs have taken advantage of this have remained popular. But finding exactly the right mood can be tricky. Swiss designer Rosemarie Tissi created the font Sinaola™ in 1974.
Sinaola is best described as a logotype style typeface. It is a highly unique design with strong geometric forms. Each character has a striped stroke which helps keep the letters legible and gives the typeface its eye-catching appearance. Sinaloa was designed for very few words in large display applications.
