The Linotype Short Story™ Font Family is part of the TakeType Collection.
German designer Jörg Herz created Linotype Short Story in 1997. Linotype Short Story is a half-alphabet/half-symbol font. The face has decorative uppercase letters, numbers, and punctuation. 26 symbols have been placed in the lowercase letter slots. These symbols are similar to the form of the font's uppercase letters: white outlined boxes filled with black shapes. The 26 symbols are made up of various faces and arrows.Linotype Short Story is best used in larger point sizes. The design is well suited for children's books and other similar applications.
