DFP Song Simplified Chinese font family

Designed by  DynaComware Design Studio
DFP Song is a Simplified Chinese font. It contains the GB2312 character set officially supported by the People's Republic of China.

This typeface combines the tradition of woodcut typeface with a distinctly modern character; the shape is classic, yet the framing is modern. It is based on the ancient Song writing style. Its strong calligraphic qualities result from the combination of Kai typeface rhythm and the specifications of Song. The form is long, thin, and elegant, making it suitable for labels, letter, documents and fiction. In book setting, it conveys an especially intellectual character.

Vertical Writing

Tag: vert

Function: Replaces default forms with variants adjusted for vertical writing when in vertical writing mode. While most CJKV glyphs remain vertical when set in vertical writing mode, some take a different form (usually rotated and repositioned) for this purpose. Glyphs covered by this feature correspond to the set normally rotated in low-end DTP applications. In vertical writing mode, the opening parenthesis (U+FF08) is replaced by the rotated form (U+FE35).
