About Linotype Circles™ font family

German designer Georg Popp designed the symbol font Linotype Circles in 2002. Containing 61 characters, most of these symbols are not in fact circles, but parts of circles. Only when set together in a line of "text" does one see how ingenious this design truly is. Linotype Circles is the perfect symbol font to use for all of your informal border-creating needs!
Georg Popp has a distinct love for patterns, which may also be seen in his other fonts for Linotype ( Linotype American Indian , Linotype Squares , Linotype Triangles , and Linotype Sinbad ). His interest in patterns first began after seeing beautiful ornamental tile-pattern patios in Oman. In the Sultanate, these precious pieces of design are in danger of being eradicated by modernity and technology; Popp decided to use modern technological developments to keep these treasures alive. He chose font technology to carry out this task.
Linotype Circles, as well as Linotype American Indian, Linotype Squares, and Linotype Triangles, are all included in the Take Type 4 collection from Linotype GmbH.
